Australian envoy visits newly opened EAQC office

Doha: Ambassador of Australia to Qatar H E Jonathan Muir accompanied by Deputy Head of the Mission Lachlan McLeod, has visited the newly opened office of Engineers Australia Qatar Chapter (EAQC) in Tornado Tower, West Bay.

During the visit, the Ambassador and his Deputy expressed his pleasure over the facility leased by EAQC for its operations. Mahmoud Fahmy, the President of the EAQC briefed the Ambassador and his Deputy of the progress achieved by EAQC over the past six months.  He said one of the challenges EAQC faced, during the period is the registration process of the EAQC entity in Qatar and stressed the process is on track with the signing of the lease agreement. He expressed confidence that EAQC will be a fully registered body within the next three months.
