Doha: HM King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of Jordan called on Arab and Islamic countries to reassess their joint strategies to counter the threat posed by Israel's extremist government.

In his address at the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit, held Monday in Doha in response to Israel's September 9 attack on the State of Qatar, His Majesty stressed the attack proves the Israeli threat has no limits, and that the response must be clear, decisive, and deterrent. He described it as a stark violation of international law and a dangerous escalation that pushes the region toward further conflict.

His Majesty also offered his deepest condolences to the Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, and to the people of Qatar for the victims of the brutal Israeli aggression. "We stand with you with all our resources, and we support any steps taken to confront this aggression and protect your security, stability, and the safety of your people. Qatar’s security is our security; its stability is our stability; and our support for you is absolute," he said as quoted by Petra News Agency.

The King of Jordan pointed out that the Israeli aggression on Doha came nearly two years since Israel began its brutal war on Gaz, two years of killing, destruction, and starvation of innocent people, during which Israel violated international law and all human values. It also persisted in its illegal actions in the West Bank, obstructing the two-state solution, undermining the chances of achieving a just peace, and continuing to threaten the security and stability of Lebanon and Syria.

He noted that the Israeli government persists in crossing all lines because the international community has allowed it to be above the law.
