Doha: The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) announced the full opening of Al Kharaitiyat interchange, following the fulfillment of comprehensive development & maintenance works, starting on the evening of Saturday, October 11 2025, in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.

Ashghal noted that the reopening includes the loop exit for motorists coming from Al Rifaa towards the north, the loop exit for those coming from the north towards Al Ebb Street, and the exit for those coming from Al Rifaa Street towards Al Ebb Street.

The bridge exit has also been opened to those coming from Al kharaitiyat area towards Doha, after completing the expansion work required to enhance traffic flow in the area.

On this occasion, Eng. Ali Darwish, Head of the Doha Highway Section at the Highway Projects Department, stated that the works included soil reinforcement using concrete piles prior to the maintenance of the main water pipeline (1,600 mm in diameter, high-pressure) running along Al Shamal Road.

A concrete protection box was also constructed around the pipeline to ensure its safety and facilitate future maintenance, in cooperation with the Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation “Kahramaa.”
