Are ICE agents at ATL airport? A look inside Hartsfield-Jackson Monday
USA TODAY
After President Trump said he was sending ICE agents to major U.S. airports, they have arrived at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta.
ATLANTA — Chaos inside America's airports continue this week as TSA officers start another unpaid week.
The lines at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the busiest in the country, have consistently had wait times over one or two hours, with the lines snaking around both north and south terminals as of 9:20 a.m. on Monday.
This is also the first day Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents are expected to be deployed across 13 airports.
ICE agents were expected early Monday morning, and photos outside the airport showed the agents.
Inside the airport, their presence is almost undetected. A group of agents stood together near the entrance of the north terminal, but were not helping to organize the line of passengers or direct patrons as they entered the airport.
