Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received a telephone call today from HE Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier, President of the friendly Federal Republic of Germany.

At the beginning of the call, the German President inquired about the situation in the State of Qatar in light of the brutal Iranian attacks it is subjected to, expressing his country’s solidarity with the State of Qatar and condemning these attacks.

His Excellency also expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Amir for the care and attention that the State of Qatar gives to the security and safety of German residents on its territory.

During the call, developments in the region were reviewed, with both sides stressing the importance of reducing tension and halting escalation, and intensifying international efforts to address the crisis through dialogue and diplomatic means, in order to contribute to strengthening regional and international security and stability.
