Amazon challenges ED probe into 2019 deal with Future Group

US e-commerce giant Amazon has filed a petition in Delhi High Court to quash an ED investigation related to its 2019 investment in a Future Group entity.

Amazon.com Inc is set to take the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to court over an ongoing investigation related to the US e-commerce giant’s 2019 deal with Future Group.

On Wednesday, Amazon approached the Delhi High Court with an appeal to quash the ED investigation related to its $200 million investment in Future Coupons Private Limited. The ED had been investigating the matter for suspected violations of foreign investment laws.
