Al Sadd committed to keep Xavi as coach, says CEO

CEO of Al Sadd SC Turki Al Ali confirmed that the management of his team is still committed to the Spanish coach Xavi Hernandez at the head of the team, in light of the visit of the Barcelona delegation to Doha in order to finalize the signing of Xavi Hernandez as the new coach of FC Barcelona.Turki Al Ali, CEO, Al Sadd SC The official website of Al Sadd SC stated in an official statement that Turki Al Ali welcomes the visit of the administrative delegation from Barcelona, and that the visit is appreciated and respected. Al Sadd club statement added: "The club's position is clear from the beginning - we are committed to keeping our coach Xavi with us and we cannot have him leave at this sensitive time of the season." A delegation from Barcelona, including Vice President Rafael Yuste and Sports Director Mateu Alemany, arrived this evening in the Qatari capital, Doha, in an effort to negotiate the contract with Xavi Hernandez as Barcelona coach, to replace the sacked Dutchman Ronald Koeman.
