Doha, Qatar: Al Noor Center for the Blind, one of the entities of the Qatar Foundation for Social Work operating under the Ministry of Social Development and Family, convened the closing ceremony for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Minister of Social Development and Family H E Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi patronised and attended the event, alongside a range of Their Excellencies the ministers and the nation’s high-ranking officials, as well as representatives of official and societal entities.
The event featured the honouring of 29 alumni from the Center’s beneficiaries enrolled in inclusive education programmes and universities.
Executive Director of Al Noor Center for the Blind, Mishaal Abdullah Al Nuaimi, stated that the ceremony epitomized the accomplishments of a year-long joint work between the beneficiaries and their families.
He highlighted that the Center pursues a strategic vision that aims to empower individuals with visual impairment and enhance their self-independence through an inclusive educational and rehabilitative environment.
