Advanced polls open on Thursday in Hamilton — here's where to find them
CBC
For keeners looking to cast an early ballot for the provincial election, there's good news — advanced polls open on Thursday.
Jo Langham, media manager for Elections Ontario, said advanced polls will generally be open for 10 days, instead of five days like the last provincial election.
Langham also said while it's been challenging to recruit employees, more people applied this election than in 2018.
There are some 55,000 people who will work on June 2, election day. There are also roughly 650 advanced polling locations, according to Langham.
She said people on the voters' list only need one piece of ID showing their name.
Anyone who isn't on the list needs a piece of ID with their name and address.
You can also vote at the returning office in your riding or a satellite office, which can be found online.
Langham said if you're on the voters' list, you may have a voter information card which will tell you where the advanced polls are.
You can only use the advanced polls in your riding.
In case you haven't got a voters' card mailed to you yet, here are the advanced poll locations.
