Adelaide Street to close Wednesday for underpass rail lift
CBC
Commuters who use Adelaide Street North will need to find an alternate route starting Wednesday.
Adelaide will be closed between McMahen and Elias streets as the first of two new rail bridges are lifted into place for the ongoing underpass project.
The road closure is expected to last for three days.
London Transit routes 16 and 92 will be detoured along Piccadilly Street, William Street and Princess Street.
The City of London is reconstructing Adelaide Street to separate it from the CP Rail tracks with an underpass. The project will also see improvements to nearby intersections, along with active transportation connections for pedestrians and cyclists.
The $60-million project is expected to be completed in 2024.
