Adani Enterprises to exit Adani Wilmar Ltd; AEL to raise over $2 billion

Adani Enterprises exits joint venture with Wilmar International, raising over $2 billion for core infrastructure businesses by 2025.
Adani Enterprises has signed agreement with Wilmar International to exit Adani Wilmar Ltd Joint venture.
With this exit AEL will raise over $2 billion from the overall transaction, which includes two steps - OFS and the sale to Wilmar.
The proceeds will be utilised for growth of AEL in the core infrastructure businesses - Energy & Utility, Transport & Logistics along with Primary Industry adjacent businesses.
The transaction is expected to be consummated before 31 March 2025.

Insurance penetration and density are often misunderstood and do not reveal how many families are insured or whether they would be financially secure if the main earning member were to die. The real issue is not reach but adequacy, as households may have life insurance but not enough cover to replace lost income, leaving them financially vulnerable.
