
28-year-old dead following North Preston shooting

Police in the Halifax area are investigating a homicide that happened Sunday evening in North Preston.
According to a release issued Monday, Nova Scotia RCMP responded to a report of shots fired near the intersection of Cain and Clarence streets around 5 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers found Jayden Tynes, 28, suffering from gunshot wounds. He died later in hospital.
The integrated RCMP and Halifax Regional Police Major Crime Unit is leading the investigation.
Police are asking anyone with information or dashcam footage of the area taken between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Nov. 2 to contact them directly.
Anonymous tips can also be sent to Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers, police said.
