
2 motorcycle crashes in London leave 1dead, another fighting for life

One motorcyclist is dead and another remains in hospital after two separate crashes just hours apart in different parts of London, Ont., on Friday night.
At around 5:45 p.m. ET, emergency crews were first called to the area of Highbury Avenue and Dingman Drive, where a motorcycle had collided with a vehicle. Paramedics transported the motorcyclist to hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to London police.
At around 8:30 p.m., emergency crews were called to a crash in the area of Southdale Road West and Byronhills Drive, again involving a motorcycle and a vehicle.
The driver of the motorcycle was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died.
London police's Traffic Management Unit continues to investigate the cause of both crashes.
Police are asking anyone who may have been in either area at the time or who may have dash-cam footage or video surveillance to contact them at 519-661-5670.
There have been four motorcyclist fatalities in London in 2024, according to police.
