2 dead following early morning crash southwest of London

Two people are dead following a collision in Southwest Middlesex Township, Tuesday.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say at 6:35 a.m., police, along with crews from Middlesex-London Paramedic Service and Strathroy Caradoc fire were called to the scene of the collision at the intersection of Glendon Drive and Melbourne Road.
The initial call reported a collision involving a passenger vehicle and a transport truck.
Police say two individuals in the passenger vehicle were pronounced dead on scene. Their identities are being held pending next-of-kin notification.
The driver of the transport truck was unharmed.
The OPP's Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement team was on scene to help with an investigation into the crash.
The roadway is expected to remain closed for the next few hours while police investigate.
