1100+ STUDENTS ATTENDED ORIENT SPECTR’S WORLD EDUCATION FAIR
Hyderabad witnessed strong enthusiasm for international education as the World Education Fair 2026, organized by Orient Spectra, recorded over 1,100 student walk-ins at Taj Deccan, Banjara Hills, on February 7. The one-day fair, held from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, brought together students, parents, and global university representatives under one roof, reaffirming the city’s growing interest in overseas education.
What made the turnout particularly noteworthy was that the event coincided with transport disruptions across Hyderabad, including strike actions involving cab services such as Uber and Ola, as well as bike taxi operators like Rapido. Despite these challenges, students travelled from various parts of the city and surrounding regions to attend the fair, underscoring the relevance and trust associated with the event.
The fair featured participation from five major study destinations — the United Kingdom, United States, Germany, Australia, and Canada — with more than 50 university delegates and official representatives engaging directly with aspiring students. Attendees had the opportunity to interact face-to-face with international universities, gaining first-hand insights into academic programs, admission requirements, scholarships, and career prospects.
Students from engineering, science, management, and other academic backgrounds attended the event, many of them seeking clarity on post-graduation opportunities and global career pathways. Parents were equally engaged, asking questions related to employability, return on investment, and long-term career outcomes.
According to attendees, the ability to speak directly with university representatives was one of the key strengths of the fair. “Instead of relying on online information, we could clarify everything in one place — from courses to visas,” said a final-year engineering student who attended the event.
Education fairs have regained importance in recent years as students increasingly seek verified, in-person guidance in an era dominated by online information. The World Education Fair 2026 addressed this need by offering structured counselling, country comparisons, and realistic guidance tailored to individual student profiles.
