
1 in life-threatening condition after several cars collide in Toronto's east-end

Toronto police say a collision involving several vehicles in the city's east-end left one driver in life-threatening condition Sunday.
In a post to social media, the Toronto Police Service said they were called to Eglinton Avenue near the Don Valley Parkway ramp shortly after 4 p.m.
Toronto police said several vehicles were involved. One driver was transported to hospital via emergency run in life-threatening condition, Toronto police said.
Toronto paramedics confirmed an adult woman was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition and a total of four people were injured. Three people are being assessed for minor injuries, paramedics told CBC Toronto.
Eastbound lanes on Eglinton Avenue are closed at Gervais Avenue and westbound lanes on Eglinton Avenue are closed at Wynford Drive.
The 34A bus on Eglinton East is also detouring via Wynford Drive and Gervais Drive due to the collision, the Toronto Transit Commission said in a post to social media Sunday.
Police are on scene and alerting drivers to expect major delays in the area.
