陳帆:若劏房業主多次以行動阻續租可判囚3年

  運輸及房屋局局長陳帆今日(8日)在電台節目中表示,如果劏房業主以鎖房門等行動,令租戶不能繼續使用單位,初犯最高罰款50萬元及監禁12個月,再犯最高罰款100萬元及監禁3年。

  陳帆指出,根據政府日前建議的劏房租務管制措施,租戶有一次優先續租權,如果業主未有在首份兩年合約完結前提出續租邀約,租戶就可按原有條款繼續租用單位,不可加租。   陳帆又指,如果業主為趕走租客而故意不維修單位內的設備,或截斷單位水電,屬於侵擾行為,亦會面對同一罰則,而維修費用基本上應由業主負責。
