YIPS conducts transparent lottery-based admissions for inaugural academic year, overseen by Hyderabad City Police Commissioner.
The Young India Police School (YIPS) took a step towards its inaugural academic year by conducting a draw of lots for admissions on Thursday (March 20). The process, held at the YIPS campus in Manchirevula, was overseen by Hyderabad City Police Commissioner C..V. Anand, ensuring transparency in student selection.

The Commissioner explained that each class offers 40 seats, with 20 reserved for children of uniformed service personnel and 20 for the general public. As per the allotment, Class 1 have nine admissions, Class 2 – eight admissions, Class 3 – 10 admissions, Class 4 – 10 admissions, and Class 5 – eight admissions, totalling 45 for police personnel children and 11 for others.
The event saw the participation of school authorities, senior police officials, parents, who appreciated the transparent admission process. With the selection process now complete, YIPS is set to welcome its first batch of students.

The design team at The Indian Twist works on the spontaneous artworks by children and young adults from A Brush With Art (@abwa_chennai) and CanBridge Academy (thecanbridgeacademy), “kneading” them into its products, thereby transforming these artworks into a state of saleability. CanBridge Academy provides life skill training to young adults with autism. And ABWA promotes “expression of natural art in children with special needs”.
