
Yellowknife water main break floods street at -37 C

City of Yellowknife crews are responding after a water main break partially flooded a section of Finlayson Drive North on Tuesday morning.
The break resulted in "a significant amount of water flowing onto the roadway," the city said in a Facebook post.
It happened on Finlayson Drive North near the Sandstone South apartments. The city is asking anyone travelling in the area to use caution. It was -37 C in Yellowknife on Tuesday morning.
"City staff are assessing the situation and are developing a repair plan as quickly as possible," the post said.
There's no word on whether water is affected for local homes. There's also no timeline for the break to be repaired.
