Kane Williamson’s New Zealand defeated Virat Kohli’s side to win the first-ever WTC title at Southampton on Wednesday (June 23). Indian fans present at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton felt the same pain as the national side with Kohli’s boys losing wickets at regular intervals, right from the start of reserve day. Barring wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant, who played a brilliant knock of 41 runs off 88 balls, none of the other batsmen managed to play a big knock against the formidable New Zealand pace attack.
