Jessy R. Kurczewski was arrested in Wisconsin and is accused of murdering Lynn Hernan with Visine eye drops.
When police officers arrived at 62-year-old Lynn Hernan's home in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, in 2018, they found her dead, seated in her living room recliner next to a table filled with prescription pills with what appeared to be crushed medication on her chest, according to a police report. The case was initially ruled a drug overdose. But two years and eight months after Hernan's death, investigators have announced a stunning new development. A woman who claimed to be Hernan's friend and caregiver is now facing charges of killing her by allegedly spiking Hernan's water bottle with a lethal dose of eye drops and staging the victim's home to make appear to be accidental or a suicide, according to a criminal complaint filed in Waukesha County Court. The suspect, Jessy R. Kurczewski, 37, is also accused of defrauding Hernan of nearly $300,000 and allegedly blowing most of that money on gambling at casinos and expensive gifts, including spa treatments for friends and acquaintances, according to the criminal complaint. "Kurczewski had a motive, the method and the opportunity to intentionally cause the death" of Hernan, the criminal complaint states.More Related News
