Winnipeg police are investigating three reports of animal cruelty in the west side of the city.
Winnipeg police are investigating three reports of animal cruelty in the west side of the city.
Police said the reports were all filed in December after people found dead cats near a popular walking area.
The incidents happened on Dec. 8, Dec. 28, and Dec. 30, all under the bridge on Summit Road, north of Saskatchewan Avenue.
Investigators said "approximately six" cats were found in bags or on the path under the bridge in the area.
Police said some of the cats had "pet identifiers," and investigators are still trying to see if the others had owners.
Police aren't sure if these three reports are connected to previous reports of dead cats in the Point Douglas area.
If anyone has information, they are asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
