USA TODAY Sports breaks down the winners and losers from Kyler Murray’s deal with the Minnesota Vikings.
Kyler Murray is headed to the NFC North.
The Minnesota Vikings and Murray agreed to terms on a one-year, $1.3 million deal.
The deal between Murray and the Vikings is a win for both sides. Murray gets a fresh start with a Vikings team that possesses an assortment of weapons and a stingy defense. The Vikings get some stability and playmaking ability from the quarterback position after a rocky 2025 campaign from J.J. McCarthy.
Murray, a two-time Pro Bowler and 2019 Offensive Rookie of the Year, is the big winner. But he’s not the only winner as a result of Thursday's acquisition. USA TODAY Sports breaks down the winners and losers from Murray’s deal with the Vikings:
Kyler Murray has a propensity to key in on his favorite target. DeAndre Hopkins had some of the best years of his career when he and Murray played together in Arizona. Hopkins equaled a career-high 115 receptions on a whopping 160 targets when he and Murray were teammates in 2020.
