• The women’s semifinals at Wimbledon take place today with the US’ Amanda Anisimova taking on world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in the first match around 8:30 a.m. ET on Centre Court. • The second semifinal – which takes place shortly after the first match – features five-time grand slam champion Iga Świątek facing off with Switzerland’s Belinda Bencic. • None of the semifinalists have lifted the Venus Rosewater Dish in their careers, so whoever makes it to the final is looking for a debut title at the All-England Lawn Tennis Club in SW19. Amanda Anisimova won the coin toss and has elected to serve first to get the opening semifinal under way. An expectant hush descends on Centre Court – and off we go!
