Will Turn "Red Tape" Into "Red Carpet", Says Piyush Goyal About New Move

India's big step towards digitization of trade, the "National Single Window System" will convert "Red Tape" into "Red Carpet", Commerce minister Piyush Goyal said today.

Till date, 27 central government departments and 19 States/UTs have integrated into the National Single Window System.

By December 15, five more states and union territories -- Haryana, Andaman and Nicobar, Tripura, Jharkhand, and Arunachal Pradesh – will be integrated under it.

The minister said so far, the National Single Window System has shown 99.32 per cent efficiency and generated 48,000 approvals.
