Jayant Singh lauds farmers determination on repeal of farm laws
A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the , Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) president Jayant Singh said it was the victory of the unity of farmers, and added that his party would stand by the decision of the Samyukta Kisan Morcha.
“I assure the agitating farmers that we are with them. We have to fight for a statutory provision on MSP, the rollback of Electricity Amendment Bill and we have to politically damage the Bharatiya Janata Party because it is against the interests of farmers and workers,” the RLD chief said.
The High Court of Karnataka on Friday directed the State government to file its statement of objections on an application filed by Bangalore Turf Club Ltd. (BTC), challenging the June 6 orders passed by the government in rejecting the BTC’s applications seeking permission to conduct on-course horse races and betting during the June-August season.
