Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, caught in the middle of a massive political storm with the BJP's move to demand a test of strength in the Assembly, asserted that the Congress has the numbers and will complete its five-year term.
The BJP, which pulled off a surprise victory in the lone Rajya Sabha seat of the hill state yesterday, had escalated their attack today, emboldened by the cross-voting by six Congress MLAs and three Independents.
Many have blamed Mr Sukhu for failing to keep his flock together. Himachal is only state the Congress rules in north India.
