Who will be the next Duke of Edinburgh?

Prince Philip, the husband of Britain's Queen Elizabeth II, died at the age of 99 on Friday. With his death, the title of the Duke of Edinburgh gets passed down to another member of the royal family — but who?

"It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen announces the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh," the royal family said Friday, announcing the death of the Queen's husband of more than 70 years and the longest-serving royal consort. "His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle. Further announcements will be made in due course. The Royal Family join with people around the world in mourning his loss." Prince Charles, the oldest of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip's four children, inherited his father's title upon his death, as well as his other titles, Earl of Merioneth and Baron Greenwich, of Greenwich in the County of London.
