Noel Tata has been appointed the chairman of Tata Trusts, the philanthropic arm of the Tata Group, following the death of Ratan Tata.

Noel Tata has been appointed the chairman of Tata Trusts, the philanthropic arm of the Tata Group, following the death of Ratan Tata, on Wednesday night. Tata Trust is the umbrella body managing the functions of all 14 Tata trusts.

1. Born in December 1957 to Novel Tata and Simone N Tata, a French-Swiss Catholic, Noel Tata is the half-brother of Ratan Tata.

2. Noel Tata was married to Aloo Mistry and together they had three children - Neville Tata, Maya Tata and Leah Tata – all involved in the family business.
