
White House to host briefing for House members on border situation

The White House will host a bipartisan briefing for members of the House of Representatives on Wednesday to update them on the situation at the US-Mexico border, according to an invitation obtained by CNN and two sources familiar with the meeting.
Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra will be in attendance. The meeting, which is scheduled to take place Wednesday afternoon, will be conducted via teleconference and is open only to House members, according to an invitation obtained by CNN.
