Dominica is not a country that dominates India’s news headlines very often. But after fugitive Indian businessman Mehul Choksi was traced and ‘captured’ there on Wednesday, naam toh suna hoga. Wanted in the Rs 13,500-crore Punjab National Bank fraud case, Choksi allegedly entered Dominica ‘illegally’ and has now been detained. He had been staying in Antigua and Barbuda since January 2018 and recently disappeared from there. Speaking to India Today, Antigua and Barbuda Prime Minister Gaston Browne said, "We have asked the Dominican government to detain him for entering their country illegally, to make him persona non grata and have him deported directly to India."
