WhatsApp working on voice message transcription feature for iOS users

WhatsApp users will likely be able to transcribe voice notes and audio messages in the future from within the app. WhatsApp is reportedly working on a voice message transcription feature for iOS users. According to features tracker WABetaInfo, the transcription feature is under development for iOS users. The report notes that WhatsApp’s parent company Facebook will not have access to the transcription as Apple will provide the transcription tools. However, the transcription will be saved locally in WhatsApp’s database where users can get access to the transcribed text whenever they want to.
