"I didn't realise, it would take 20 years for India to reach the position again," former Miss India Celina Jaitly wrote after the announcement of 69th Miss Universe 2021. While Andrea Meza, who hails from Mexico, was crowned the title of Miss Universe this year, India's Adline Castelino emerged as the third runner-up at the pageant. On Tuesday, Celina, who was the fourth runner-up at the Miss Universe 2001, posted a photo collage of herself and Adline Castelino on Instagram. In her post, we see Celina posing for a picture in a bikini on the left. The text on her side read, "Celina Jaitley...Miss Universe Runners Up 2001...Puerto Rico." Adline, who is on the right, is walking the ramp in a bikini and the text on her picture read, "Adline Castelino...Miss Universe Runners Up 2021." Recalling her experience from the Miss Universe pageant in 2001, Celina wrote, "When I became Ms Universe 2001 - Runners Up, I did not realise it would take 20 years for India to reach this position again." Celina Jaitly then congratulated Adline Castelino for winning the third runner-up position at the pageant this year and added it is "great to see India back in the game".
