A lakeside fire is burning in West Kelowna.
Thick, black smoke can be seen rising from the fire, which is located along a thin stretch of land between a steep bank and the shores of Okanagan Lake.
That area is heavily occupied by seasonal campers during spring, summer and fall.
Video on social media shows some flames extending from the fire into the nearby hillside shrubs.
