West Asia Rugby 7s: Qatar teams shine on opening day

Hosted by the Qatar Rugby, Hockey and Cricket Federation (QRHCF), the tournament sees eight teams other than the Qatar men’s and women’s teams in action. Qatar men topped the table in the pool stage yesterday by defeating Palestine (58-0), Lebanon (22-5) and the UAE (25-5).
On the other hand, Qatari women's team defeated Iraq (54-7), Syria (12-5) and Iran (12-5) to top the points table. In their final Pool matches today, Qatar men’s team will meet Iran while Al Annabi women will take on UAE. The top four teams in both men's and women's sides will go through to the semi-finals which will take place this evening.
