Wednesday Star Jenna Ortega Dismisses Johnny Depp Dating Rumours: "This Is So Ridiculous"

Wednesday star Jenna Ortega, 20, recently featured in headlines after reports claimed that she is dating Hollywood star Johnny Depp, 60. Jenna Ortega straight away dismissed the dating rumours and she wrote in her Instagram stories, "This is so ridiculous I can't even laugh. I have never met or worked with Johnny Depp in my life," reported  Pinkvilla, India Today and other sites. She added in a now deleted Instagram story, "Please stop spreading lies and leave us alone." The rumours started doing the rounds after a Hollywood gossip account named DeuxMoi, reported the actors were spotted together and are reportedly co-starring in the second installment of Beetlejuice.

Jonny Depp has been making headlines for his personal life for years now. In 2020, Johnny Depp lost a libel case against UK tabloid The Sun which had described him as a "wife beater" after which the actor was dropped from the Harry Potter spin-off franchise Fantastic Beasts. Last year, a jury decided in favour of Johnny Depp in a defamation case against ex-wife and actor Amber Heard. The actor returned to films with Jeanne Du Barry(his first film after the trial), which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival this year in May.

Jenna Ortega, best-known for playing Wednesday Addams in the Netflix series Wednesday, began her career as a child actor. She starred as the younger version of Jane in Jane the Virgin. Her break out role was starring as Harley Diaz in the Disney series Stuck In The Middle. She has also starred in films like The Fallout, Yes Day, X, Scream VI, Studio 666, After Words. Her upcoming projects include Finestkind, Miller's Girl, Beetlejuice 2, Death Of A Unicorn.
