Water level in Papanasam dam stood at 142.20 feet (maximum level 143 ft) with an inflow of 875.97 cusecs and a discharge of 594.75 cusecs. The level in Manimuthar dam was 118 ft (118 ft) with an inflow and a discharge of 500 cusecs each. There was no rainfall in the region during the last 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, PWD officials said.

Currently, only the services in the 32 series stop at the section of the road adjacent to the Broadway terminus, temporarily closed on account of reconstruction work.
