Water level in Mullaperiyar dam on Tuesday stood at 123.75 feet (permissible level is 142 ft.) with an inflow of 1,869 cusecs and a discharge of 700 cusecs. The level in Vaigai dam stood at 60.47 feet (71 ft.) with an inflow of 1,355 cusecs and a discharge of 69 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was 5,940 mcft.
The rainfall (in mm) recorded during the last 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Tuesday was as follows: Thekkadi 22.4, Mullaperiyar dam 21.4, Gudalur 21.2, Uthamapalayam 20.6, Shanmuganadhi dam 18.4, Veerapandi 13.6, Sathayar dam 8.6 and Sothupparai dam 1.

Currently, only the services in the 32 series stop at the section of the road adjacent to the Broadway terminus, temporarily closed on account of reconstruction work.
