The water level in Mullaperiyar dam stood at 117.70 feet (permissible level is 142 ft.) with an inflow of 523 cusecs and a discharge of 511 cusecs. In Vaigai dam, the level was 47.34 ft. (maximum level is 71 ft.) with an inflow of 185 cusecs and a discharge of 69 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was 2,648.61 mcft.
Rainfall recorded in the 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Saturday was (in mm): Mullaperiyar dam 17.4, Thekkadi 7.8, Shanmuganadhi dam 3.6, Gudalur 1.8 and Uthamapalayam 1.
