The Canadian women, after beating China in the Round of 16 on Friday, fell 10-7 to the U.S. in the quarter-finals on Saturday. Keyara Wardley scored the lone try for the Canadians, who will face England in the Championship Cup 5/8 place match on Sunday at 4:18 a.m. ET.
The men lost 19-12 to Uruguay in the Challenge Cup quarter-finals on Saturday morning, but followed it up with a 33-19 victory over on Wales. They move on to play Chile in the 13th-place game on Sunday at 10:20 a.m. ET.
