In Friday's preliminary swims, the mixed 50-metre freestyle relay team of Finlay Knox, Yuri Kisil, Penny Oleksiak and Mary-Sophie Harvey qualified Canada for today's final.
Canadians Tristan Jankovics, Alex Axon, Blake Tierney and Timothé Barbeau qualified for the last spot in the final of the men's 4x200m freestyle relay with the eighth-fastest time in the heats, but later withdrew from the final.
In the men's 100m butterfly, Canada's Ilya Kharun posted the fastest qualifying time to easily advance to the semis later today.
