Virat Kohli Slams 'Slowest' IPL Ton Ever, Then Says, "Couldn't Get Over..."

Virat Kohli surpassed a number of milestones as he hit a record-extending eighth IPL century for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, which came against Rajasthan Royals on Friday. His 113* is also the star batter's joint-highest individual score in the league. During the course of his innings, Virat Kohli also became the first batter to take his tally past 7500 mark in IPL. Apart from all these records, there was another feat - a forgettable one - that Kohli match.

Kohli's century came in 67 balls, which is the joint-slowest IPL ton ever, equalling Manish Pandey, who also took 67 balls for RCB against Deccan Chargers in Centurion in 2009

After scoring the ton, Virat Kohli said he feels that opposition bowlers want him to go hammer and tongs every time he comes out to bat, but he prefers adapting to match conditions without any predetermined strategy as he did in his unbeaten century against Rajasthan Royals in an IPL match on Saturday.

Kohli hit 12 fours and four sixes in his eighth IPL hundred -- a composed 113 not out off 72 balls but RCB managed only 183 for 3 as none of the batters, Kohli included, upped the ante on a track where Rajasthan Royals spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravichandran Ashwin proved difficult propositions.

"The wicket looks quite different from the outside. It feels like it's flat, but the ball is holding up in the pitch, that's when you realise the pace changes," Kohli told official broadcasters after RCB innings.
