Yuzvendra Chahal has been one of the best performers for RCB over the years, however, the leg-spinner wasn't retained by the franchise ahead of the IPL 2022 auction.

Yuzvendra Chahal was one of the key players from the Royal Challengers Bangalore squad who was released ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction, which is set to take place in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13.

The 31-year-old Chahal has been one of the best performers for RCB over the years after moving there from Mumbai Indians prior to the 2014 season. In 113 matches for them, he has picked up 138 wickets at an economy rate of just over 7.50 thus ending his stint as the highest wicket-taker for the franchise.

However, the leg-spinner wasn't retained by the franchise ahead of the auction. RCB have decided to retain Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, and Mohammed Siraj in their team.
