Violation at cleaning and hospitality company's labour accommodation

The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs, represented by the Labour Inspection Department, caught a violation in a cleaning and hospitality company's workers' accommodation at Al Kheesa. An official statement by the ministry said the company failed to comply with the requirements and specifications of suitable housing for workers and legal measures were taken by the labour inspection team. The ministry has urged companies to adhere to the requirements and specifications of suitable housing for workers in order to avoid being subjected to penalties of imprisonment not exceeding six months and a fine of not less than QR2,000 and not exceeding QR 100,000 or one of the two.
