Nathan Carman, a Vermont man accused of killing his mother while they were out at sea on a fishing trip in 2016, pleaded not guilty first-degree murder and multiple fraud charges.
Rescuers discovered Carman on a life raft about 100 nautical miles south of Martha's Vineyard on Sept. 25, 2016.
