
US to redirect air defense missiles to Ukraine instead of the countries that ordered them

National security spokesman John Kirby announced that the U.S. would redirect shipments of air defense interceptor missiles that were planned for other countries to Ukraine.
"Right now, we know that Ukraine urgently needs these additional capabilities," Kirby said on a call with reporters, adding, "Obviously more is needed, and it’s needed now."
