US to make COVID-19 vaccines mandatory for all US troops

Beginning next month, the United States is prepared to require all US military members to get vaccinated against COVID-19, the White House and Pentagon said on Monday. “Being vaccinated will enable our service members to stay healthy, to better protect their families, and to ensure that our force is ready to operate anywhere in the world,” President Joe Biden said in a statement released by the White House. “We cannot let up in the fight against COVID-19, especially with the Delta variant spreading rapidly through unvaccinated populations,” President Biden said.
