
US shuts southern border to livestock imports to stop spread of deadly flies

The U.S. and Mexico are working together to stop the northern spread of the New World Screwworm by putting a halt on all livestock imports through southern border ports.
"Due to the threat of New World Screwworm I am announcing the suspension of live cattle, horse, & bison imports through U.S. southern border ports of entry effective immediately," she wrote.
