US Official to Discuss Protecting Palestinian Civilians in Israel Visit

Israeli forces carried out more airstrikes Thursday in the Gaza Strip ahead of a visit by a top White House official who planned to discuss the next phase of Israel’s war against Hamas and efforts to better protect Palestinian civilians caught in the fighting.
