The U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis is on lockdown because of an active threat aboard the installation, according to officials.

"One person has been medevaced with injuries. They are in stable condition. The base remains on lockdown. We will provide updates as they become available." the official said.Gunshots were heard earlier inside Bancroft Hall, which houses the midshipmen. One victim was transported via medical helicopter, and multiple other victims were being assessed.
